HealthMash is powered by WebLib’s proprietary Health Knowledge Base, which is automatically generated using a variety of semantic technologies and NLP tools. HealthMash combines vertical semantic search (Trusted Health Information), federated search (Health News, Videos, etc.), semantic synthesis with mouse-over contexts for exploration and discovery (Related Concepts, Health Concerns, Tests and Treatments), and TABLE OF CONTENTS and TOPIC CLUSTERS for drill down in search results and dynamic query modification. By explicitly identifying facets of particular interest to users: disorders, signs/symptoms, tests and diagnosis, treatments/procedures, drugs and their side effects, interactions/contraindications, and alternative medicine approaches; the user is presented with the most recent, reliable and comprehensive information on their query/topic. HealthMash application is now available also on SciVerse Applications beta what is a service from Elsevier, a world-leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services. Also, two smartphone spinoffs of this website are available, that are identical and almost a 100 per cent equivalent of the website. Read more about the iPhone and the Android version.
